Bhubaneswar: The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade has launched a 5-year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM) in Business Analytics and International Business for the 2022-23 academic year.
The course is a combination of BBA and MBA and would give a more streamlined and centralized distribution of business management theories. The course offers multiple gateways for students to pass out which involves studying for three academic years to get Bachelor’s certificate (Business Administration) or continue for two more years to get the Integrated MBA certificate (BBA+MBA).
The course has been developed under the guidelines of National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020) which aims to integrate academic courses of bachelor’s and master’s studies to give a holistic experience and ability to young intermediate students.
Vice-Chancellor, IIFT said Prof. Manoj Pant said “The IPM programme will impart knowledge and skills to students for managerial roles in the varied management functions across different industries. This course is designed to sharpen the interpersonal, conceptual, analytical and statistical skills of students to meet their objectives.”
The enrolment process would be carried out by IPMAT score and the capacity of students for this academic year is 40.
The programme will commence from September 2022 in the temporary campus of IIFT at JawaharLal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh).
The application form for the course will be released in the last week of April or by the first week of May 2022. Interested candidates can submit the application by May 21. The exams for the programme will be conducted in June 2, 2022.
Eligibility criteria
Admission would be based on preference of IPMAT entrance score organised by IIM Indore as well as keeping in consideration the academic score of class 10 and gender diversity.
Candidates must secure 60% aggregate in Class X and XII (55% for SC, ST and Transgender community).
Students appearing Class XII board in 2022 can apply and mathematics/ business mathematics as a subject is mandatory, read the announcement.
Fee:
Fee for the first three years of the programme is Rs 4 lakh per annum, excluding hostel and mess fees. For the fourth and fifth years, the fee would be as per MBA (IB) programme fees set for that year.
Candidates successfully completing the course requirement of the Integrated Programme in Management would be awarded Bachelor of Business Administration (Business Analytics) and Master of Business Administration (International Business) by the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.
Exam Process:
The first three years of the IPM programme would be based on the semester system and the last two years would be based on the trimester system.
