Berhampur: The frontline workers, including government employees, fighting the looming coronavirus threat are at a great risk contracting the deadly virus. With 20 seconds hand wash being promoted as one of the safety measures to tackle the problem, it’s no surprise that antibacterial products like hand sanitisers and soaps are flying off the shelves.
These have been branded as ‘Senitizers’, Odisha Skill Development Authority (OSDA) said on its official Twitter handle.
“The 30 ml bottles of hand sanitiser have been produced for on-duty government employees. We will hand these over to the Berhampur Municipal Corporation for distribution,” ITI-Berhampur principal Rajat Kumar Panigrahy said.
These have been produced in accordance with the World Health Organisation (WHO) recommendations, said head of the Department of Chemistry of IISER, Berhampur, Rakesh Pathak.
