Cuttack: The Commissionerate Police on Monday seized duplicate tobacco products worth lakhs of rupees during a raid at Jagatpur Industrial Estate in Cuttack.
Police also recovered raw materials and labels used in manufacturing duplicate gutkha products from the factory, which was operating secretly from the location.
The seizure is part of a series of continuous raids being conducted by the police teams on several adulterated spices processing units.
Earlier this month, police had raided a duplicate spices manufacturing unit in this locality. Huge quantity of fake turmeric powder and chilli powder was seized and one person arrested.
A similar raid was conducted in Malgodown area and large quantities of the fake products were seized there too.
