Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that maximum temperature in several parts of interior Odisha will remain 3-4 degree Celsius above normal even as four places recorded 40 degree Celsius or more on Tuesday.
The regional centre of the IMD, in its evening bulletin, stated that maximum temperature (day temperature) is very likely to be above normal by 3 to 4 degree Celsius at few places in interior Odisha and will cross 40 degree at a few places during next 4-5 days.
The IMD advised the people to take precautionary measures for hot weather while going outside during midday from noon to 3 pm.
On Tuesday, Balangir recorded the highest maximum temperature of 41.7 degree Celsius, followed by Titlagarh with 40.8 degree, Boudh 40.5 degree and Bhawanipatna 40 degree Celsius.
The Met office said the cyclonic circulation over north Chhattisgarh and neighbourhood extending upto 0.9 km
above mean sea level persists.

Day-1 (valid up to 8.30 am of Wednesday)
Light to moderate rain/thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places in Malkangiri, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Rayagada, Gajapati, Kandhamal, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Nuapada and Keonjhar.
Day-2 (valid from 8.30 am of Wednesday to 8.30 am of Thursday)
Light to moderate Rain/ Thundershower very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Malkangiri, Koraput, Rayagada,Gajapati, Ganjam, Kandhamal and Nayagarh.
