Bhubaneswar: Most parts of the state are likely to receive light rainfall in next two days on the impact of a cyclonic circulation.
In its evening bulletin on Saturday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) stated that the cyclonic circulation persists over central Maharashtra and neighbourhood areas. On its impact, rain over parts of Odisha is likely till Monday morning
Following is IMD’s forecast for next two days:
Feb 20 (Till 8.30 am)
Light rain very likely to occur at one or two places over Gajapati, Ganjam, Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Dhenkanal, Jajpur, Keonjhar and Sundargarh, Dry weather very likely to prevail over rest of Odisha.
Feb 20 (8.30 am) to Feb 21 (8.30 am)
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers very likely to occur at one or two places over Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapara, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam, Gajapati, Sundargarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj. Dry weather very likely to prevail over the rest districts of Odisha.
In temperature forecast, the IMD stated there would be no major change in minimum temperature (night temperature) during next 3 days. But it is likely to gradually fall by 2 to 3 degree Celsius in subsequent 2 days in the districts of North Interior Odisha.
Meanwhile, light rainfall occurred at one or two places in Ganjam and Gajapati districts on Saturday while dry weather prevailed in the rest districts. Shallow to moderate fog occurred at one or two places in Cuttack and Angul districts.
