Bhubaneswar: Light to moderate rainfall is likely in several parts of the state including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack cities in next 3 hours.
The regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) in its evening bulletin, stated that light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at many places in the districts of North Odisha, at a few places in South Coastal Odisha and at one or two places in South Interior Odisha on Friday night.
The IMD has issued yellow warning for Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Khurda and Puri districts which are likely to have thundestorm with lighting at one or two places.
Hailstorm is also likely to occur at one or two places in Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj,
Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur and Dhenkanal districts.
On the meteorological features, the IMD said the upper air trough runs from the cyclonic circulation over north Haryana and neighbourhood to southwest Bihar and extends upto 1.5 km above mean sea level.
The northsouth trough from southwest Bihar to north Telangana across Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha extending upto 1.5 km above mean sea level persists.
