Bhubaneswar: With the possible Cyclone Dana brewing over Bay of Bengal, the regional centre of India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange and yellow warnings for five districts of Odisha, including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack, till 6.30 pm on Saturday.
Orange warning of moderate thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain has been sounded for Cuttack (including Cuttack city) and Khurda (including Bhubaneswar) districts. Light to moderate thunderstorm with lightning and light to moderate rain may also occur in some parts of Balasore, Malkangiri, and Angul districts within next 3 hours.
People have been advised to keep a watch on the weather and accordingly move to safer places to protect themselves from lightning strikes.
