New Delhi: Indian Metals & Ferro Alloys (IMFA) Ltd received the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) award for its work done under ‘Sakshyam’.
‘Sakshyam’ comprises livelihood and skill development projects like ‘Unnati’ and ‘Yuva Sakshyam’ for rural women and youth, respectively.
Bansidhar & Ila Panda Foundation (BIPF) is the CSR arm of IMFA, which implements the company’s CSR projects.
BIPF vice-president Ashok Behera received the award from Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Arjun Munda at the FICCI CSR Summit held on December 12 in New Delhi.
BIPF implements sustainable and scalable interventions in five verticals — Arogyadhara (health), Adhyayan (education), Sakshyam (livelihood), Su-Swasthya (water & sanitation) and Samwaad Sammaan (advocacy & appreciation).
The foundation’s focus spans across Cuttack, Rayagada, Keonjhar, Jajpur and Angul districts of Odisha. It serves 297 remote villages, reaching out to more than 2,85,000 beneficiaries.
