New Delhi: India logged 71,365 fresh COVID-19 cases in the country and took the infections tally to 4,24,10,976.
The Health Ministry said that the positivity rate fell to 4.5 per cent.
The toll climbed to 5,05,279 with 1,217 new fatalities. The active cases are 2.11 per cent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate has improved to 96.70 per cent, said the ministry.
