Mumbai: India wicketkeeper Wriddhiman Saha has revealed the identity of the journalist who had threatened him in a personal conversation during his interaction with the 3-member committee appointed by Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) to probe the issue which made headlines last month.
BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla said on Saturday that Saha provided all information, which will be passed on to the board.
The senior pro took to Twitter on February 19 to share screenshot messages of the journalist, who appeared to threaten Saha for not agreeing to give an interview.
“After all of my contributions to Indian cricket.. this is what I face from a so-called ‘Respected’ journalist! This is where the journalism has gone.”
Saha wrote in social media that he did not want to reveal identity of the journalist on any public platform but stressed he would do so if the BCCI asked for details.
Saha is not part of the 18-man Indian squad selected for the ongoing 2-Test series versus Sri Lanka.
