Bhubaneswar: Maestros of Indian classical music lit up the Vrindaban Mahotsav 2022 with their scintillating performances on Saturday evening.
The flagship concert, organized every year during Holi, was put together by Department of Tourism, Government of Odisha, in association with Vrindaban Gurukul Trust, Bhubaneswar, at Rabindra Mandap.
After the welcome address by Padma Bibhusan Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia, the concert got underway with a flute recital by his disciples of Vrindaban Gurukul, highlighting the beauty of Lord Krishna’s bansuri.
A harmonious dual performance by renowned Sitar player Pt Subhendra Rao and Cello player Vidushi Saskia Rao-de Haas was highly appreciated.
Padma Bhushan Begum Parveen Sultana then enraptured the audience with her vocal prowess in Indian Classical music.
Renowned Tabla player Pt Abhijeet Banerjee delivered the final performance of the evening.
