Jharsuguda: In a good news for domestic fliers, Indigo Airlines is likely to start its operation from Veer Surendra Sai Airport, here.
Informing this, director, VSS Airport, Pavan Kumar Zutshi said the airlines is likely to commence operation from coming summer schedule. However, it is premature to predict the commencement of flight operations by Indigo from the airport, he added.
With this, the Indigo Airlines will be the third airlines to provide air connectivity to the airport. Earlier, Alliance Air and Spicejet Airlines had started operation.
“The Indigo Airlines has filed slots for Mumbai and Bangalore sectors. However, they are yet to finalise the exact dates for starting their services. The addition of Indigo Airlines will prove highly beneficial for the air travellers,” Zutshi said.
