Bhubaneswar: In view of tourism season ahead, IndiGo airline has announced to introduce 8 exclusive flights to different destinations including Odisha capital in the country.
The airline will operate its flights on the routes of Bhopal-Udaipur, Ahmedabad-Jammu, Ranchi-Bhubaneswar and Indore-Chandigarh as per its winter schedule this year. The places have been selected for tourist locations and industrial activities.
All these places register an increase in footfalls of domestic tourists during the winter. They visit Ranchi in large number to go to numerous waterfalls located close to the city. Similarly, Bhubaneswar is famous for several ancient temple and is one of the religious tourism destinations in the country.
“We are pleased to enhance connectivity and accessibility by introducing exclusive flights on new domestic routes between seven states. We will start direct flights between Bhopal and Udaipur under the UDAN scheme. Enhanced connectivity between the political and commercial capitals of these states will help bolster economic growth through increased trade opportunities and tourist footprint. We will strive to stay true to our promise of affordable fares, on-time performance, courteous and hassle-free service across our wide network,” a news agency quoted Sanjay Kumar, Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer, IndiGo, as saying.
