Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued nowcast warnings of rain, thundershower and lightning for six districts of Odisha by 5 pm on Monday.
Orange warning was also issued for state capital Bhubaneswar and Cuttack city by the Meteorological Centre here.
The MeT Centre said moderate rain/thundershower with one or two intense spell of rain likely to affect some parts of the districts of Puri, Khurda (including Bhubaneswar), Cuttack (including Cuttack city), Kalahandi, Jagatsinghpur, and Kendrapada within next three hours.
Water logging in low lying areas, occasionally poor visibility and traffic disruption in urban areas likely to occur. People have been advised to avoid movement in affected areas and do arrangement for drainage of excess water.
