Bhubaneswar: On International Nurses Day 2023, the founder of KIIT and KISS, Dr Achyuta Samanta likened the dedicated work done by nurses with the concept of “Art of Giving.”
The day was observed with the central theme “Our Nurses, Our Future.” Every year, May 12, the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale is celebrated across the world as “International Nurses Day.” She is considered the founder of Modern Nursing.
Prof Sasmita Rani Samanta, VC KIIT DU said, “Healthcare is a human right and it should be ensured with dignity. She threw light on innovations and modern technological interventions in nursing. She also emphasized universal health coverage with the “Health for all” goal and motivated students to create happiness and ray of hope among the people.
