IT Raids On Block Vice-Chairpersons In 2 Odisha Districts

Bhubaneswar: Income Tax officials conducted raid on the properties of block vice-chairpersons in 2 districts of Odisha on Monday.

As per reports, the IT raids were carried out on block vice-chairpersons of Bhapur in Nayagarah district and Soro in Balasore.

The IT team from Bhubaneswar conducted raid on houses, business establishments and stone crusher units of Bhapur block vice-chairperson Benudhar Pradhan. His houses at Fatehgarh and Bhubaneswar, crusher unit at Nimani and Swayam Sadashiv Construction Pvt Ltd came under the raid.

The IT team has reportedly seized some important document during their search. Pradhan’s wife is the chairperson of the block.

Similarly, two teams of IT sleuths conducted raid on vice-chairperson of Soro block in Balasore district Bhramarbar Nayak. The raids were carried out on Nayak’s house at Bagudi and business establishments including stone mines, a petrol pump and Kalyan Mandap. Nayak’s wife is a member of Zilla Parishad.
