Berhampur: Odisha police on Sunday busted the jewellery store robbery which took place in Sunamohi village under Dharakote police limits in Ganjam district recently.
Five people, including a CRPF personnel have been arrested in this case with the seizure of 2.15 kg gold ornaments and Rs 58,000 in cash from the accused.
The robbery took place on July 13, when a group of miscreants looted gold ornaments from Sri Rudra Sahi Jewellers in Dharakote at gunpoint.
The police formed a special team to nab the miscreants and investigation revealed the involvement of an inter-state racket in this case.
The CRPF jawan arrested in this case is from Bihar, the police said and added that another three accused are on the run.
