Mumbai: The Jio network faced nationwide outage on Tuesday with its mobile and internet users flocking to social media to report the issue.
According to Down Detector, reports of network errors surged from 695 at 11.30 am to 10,552 by 12.36 pm, a report in Frees Press Journal said.
A report in the Economic Times said many users complained that the network outage particularly affected users in Mumbai. Some users said the disruption has also affected JioAirFiber services.
Some users on X commented that the Jio services were down due to a fire in the data center.
Sharing two pictures indicating network outage, an X user with @teji_rj31 commented, “Real-time problem and outages for Jio. Is the network down? Mobile internet not working? Here you see what is going on.”
Another user with @latestquots said, “Reliance Jio customers are experiencing widespread connectivity problems. Users are unable to access mobile internet and are encountering frequent call drops. The outage appears to be affecting some users, as members of The Times of India Tech team have reported inconsistent internet access on their devices.”
