Mumbai: In a bid to help low-income individuals during the pandemic, Reliance-owned Jio is giving 300 minutes of free talktime for its JioPhone users.
JioPhone, priced at an affordable Rs 1,500, is a favourite with most entry-level users.
The company, with support from Reliance Foundation, is providing 10 minutes of free outgoing calls per day for the entire length of the pandemic for users who have not been able to recharge.
Additionally, JioPhone users will get an additional recharge plan of the same value for
free. For example, if a JioPhone user recharges Rs 75 plan, he/she will get an additional
Rs 75 plan absolutely free.
The company is intending to make everyone stay connected during these tough times.
