Australia: Do aliens exist? Extra-terrestrial life has never been discovered, but that des not mean they do not exist. Well, why are we asking this?
A jogger in Marrickville suburb of Sydney, Harry Hayes, has stumbled upon a small creature during morning walk which shared on his Instagram handle and wanted to know what it was.
Hayes spotted the bizarre-looking animal shaped creature (with a trunk like thing extending out of its body) after a few days of heavy rains in the region. But, does that have any link with the rain? We can’t say.
“My gut says it’s some kind of embryo but with Covid, World War III, and the floods [going on right now] this could very well be an alien,” Hayes said.
In the video he shared on the social media site, Hayes can be seen poking the creature with a stick, but it doesn’t show any movement.
Soon, it went viral on social media with many describing the weird-looking creature as an ‘alien’. Lil Ahenkan, a popular Australian influencer, questioned “What is this?” by sharing it on her handle.
“Shark embryo maybe? Or some other sea creature,” one person speculated. “That’s an alien,” said another.
While one sounded practical saying, “I feel like this is just a bit of glue in an unfortunate shape.”
One even spotted a tear and asked, “More importantly, who made her cry”.
Even biologists were looking for answers. Biologist Ellie Elissa re-posted the picture on Instagram, asking for help in identifying the creature. “What in the what IS this thing? I thought possum/glider embryo but I have no context or scale and none of my peers can agree,” she wrote.
A cuttlefish embryo, a germinating seed and mutated tadpole were all discarded as possible answers. Well, we wait for an answer as does Hayes.
