Bhubaneswar: JSW Foundation distributed 40 bicycles to young footballers being trained under its guidance. Recently, JSW distributed 20 bicycles in Jajang and 10 each in Nuagaon and Narayanposhi areas. Mines managers and the JSW Odisha Mines Division operational head were present during the distribution.
At least 170 young sports enthusiasts are being trained at four different locations. These young trainees are being provided 360-degree holistic facilities with nutritional diets, football kits and good infrastructure.
JSW has deputed four football coaches in four mine locations to train youngsters and is also collaborating with Bengaluru FC Rural Football Academy to provide training to young footballers from its DIZ areas in Odisha.
Football trainee Anjali Lohar thanked JSW Foundation for providing her with football coaching, which helped her secure a job in a football academy. Anjali said, “After joining this football academy, I have experienced overall growth in my life, both physically and mentally. I am also receiving assistance for my higher education. I am thankful to the foundation.”
Young footballer Ranjita said, “I aspire to work in the police department, and I am grateful to the JSW Foundation for offering me a good education and providing quality football training. The training is like another feather in my cap. I hope that I will achieve my goal.”
