Cuttack: The Vigilance sleuths caught a junior clerk in the Kusumadevi Satsang Women’s College Kalyani Nagar in Cuttack, Jyotshna Parida, while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 9000 on Wednesday.
According to official sources, she had demanded the amount from the wife of a former Reader of the college to release his arrears.
A case has been registered against the junior clerk under Section 13/2021 U/S 7 P.C.(Amendment) Act, 2018.
The Vigilance officials are also conducting searches at her residence and office.
