Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday launched simultaneous raids at seven places linked to Padmanav Hota, Junior Mining Officer (JMO), Keonjhar, on charges of amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The ongoing searches are led by 7 DSPs, 5 Inspectors, 8 ASIs and other supporting staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge Vigilance, Bhubaneswar, a Vigilance release said.
Raids are being conducted at the following seven places in Bhubaneswar, Keonjhar, Bhawanipatna and Jajpur:
1) Double storeyed building located at Jagannathpur, Keonjhar.
2) Four storeyed building over plot number 222/1209 located at Karodakanta, Bhubaneswar.
3) Farm house over plot number 2827/4230 located at Madanpur under Ghasipura Tahasil, Keonjhar.
4) Single storey building over paternal land located at Jamadeipur Sasan, Tamka, Jajpur.
5) Office chamber of Padmanav Hota at Keonjhar.
6) Rented house located at Hill Town, Bhawanipatna.
7) House of his relative located at Balarampur (Talgada), Dharmasala, Jajpur.
