Puri: Justice Bimal Prasad Das Commission, constituted by the state government to suggest reforms in the functioning of Jagannath Temple, inspected Rosasala (kitchen) of the deities on Wednesday.
The five-member team headed by Justice Das took stock of the temple kitchen and suggested installation of a chimney. The other members included Puri Collector and SP.
“The Rosasala of the deities is in good condition. There is a need to improve the drainage system, sanitation and toilet. The repair work and installation of chimney will be completed in the next seven days,” Justice Das said.
On Tuesday, a technical core committee of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) inspected Garbha Gruha (sanctum sanctorum) of the temple and expressed satisfaction over its condition.
