Mumbai: Actor and filmmaker Kamaal R Khan has been arrested again, this time at Mumbai airport.
Kamaal shared the news in a post on social media platform X, claiming that he was taken into custody by Mumbai Police when he had gone to catch a Dubai flight, in a 2016 case
“I am in Mumbai for last one year. And I am attending all my court dates regularly. Today I was going to Dubai for new year. But Mumbai police arrested me at the airport. According to police, I am wanted in a 2016 case. Salman Khan is saying that his film #Tiger3 is flop because of me. If I die in any circumstances in police station or in jail, you all should know that it’s a murder. And you all know, who is responsible!” Kamaal wrote, tagging Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah in his post.
The 48-year-old actor, known as KRK, was arrested twice in 2022, first for allegedly controversial tweets on late actors Irrfan Khan and Rishi Kapoor, and then on the charge of sexually assaulting his fitness trainer.
KRK publicly apologised to Salman on Twitter last year after blaming the superstar for his arrest.
Known to make headlines for his criticism of Bollywood celebrities, Kamaal mostly features in and produces Bhojpuri and Hindi films. He was also a Bigg Boss contestant in season 3.
