Mumbai: Real-life couple Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif are likely to be paired opposite each other in ‘Jee Le Zara’, a film being directed by Farhan Akhtar.
According to reports, Vicky Kaushal has been approached for the male lead, opposite Katrina in this film, which marks the first collaboration of Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra Jonas. If Vicky agrees, this will be the first film of the couple.
The decision to cast Vicky Kaushal in the film is a golden one and signing Katrina Kaif opposite will make the marketing and promotion of the film easier, Bollywood Hungama reported quoting a source.
“With Farhan Akhtar casting himself and now Vicky also being roped in that leaves just one male lead role vacant. And casting one person is far easier than three, and that too in a film that is based on three female leads,” the source added.
The film is expected to release in 2023.
Earlier in 2021, Katrina, on an episode of Karan Johar’s Koffee With Karan, had said that she wants to work with Vicky Kaushal and that she feels they’d look good together. A few episodes later, Karan told Vicky Kaushal about Katrina’s statement. On hearing this, Vicky cutely pretended to faint. The video of the same began trending on social media as the couple tied the knot with much fanfare in December last year.
