New Delhi: Three days after Delhi’s Health minister Satyendar Jain was arrested by Enforcement Directorate (ED) in an alleged money-laundering case, chief minister Arvind Kejriwal has claimed that deputy CM Manish Sisodia is the Union government’s next target.

“Reliable sources have suggested to me that Manish Sisodia is going to be arrested soon… the Centre has ordered all agencies to form fake cases against him,” Kejriwal said during an explosive press conference on Thursday.

He reminded that he had announced a few months back that the Central government will arrest Jain in a fake case.

Kejriwal said that the Central government wants to stop the good work done in health and education sectors in Delhi by sending Jain and Sisodia to jail.

“Some people say this is because of upcoming Himachal Pradesh elections, some say this is revenge for Punjab elections. Whatever the reason is, we are not afraid to get arrested. Several raids were done on AAP leaders five years ago but nothing was recovered,” he said.

Kejriwal requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi to put all ministers and MLAs from AAP behind bars and ask all central agencies to conduct investigations at one go.

“Do as many raids as you want. You arrest one minister at a time, it obstructs public work,” he said.

Kejriwal called Jain, who has been sent to ED custody till July 9, a ‘patriot’ and demanded Padma Vibhushan for him as he gave Mohalla clinic to Delhi.

Union minister Smriti Irani responded by saying that Kejriwal was peddling ‘fake sob stories’.

“It would be easier to come out clean for once instead of peddling fake sob stories which do not have takers anymore. By not answering a single pointed question, Kejriwal ji has in a way admitted to the Hawala nexus of his minister,” Smriti tweeted.
