Kendrapada: A woman of Rajanagar area in Kendrapada district is among the four persons, who tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.
Collector Samarth Verma told the media on Sunday that the patient had been admitted to a COVID Hospital. “The woman had travelled to a neighbouring state and had been in quarantine after returning to Odisha,” he said.
The collector said swab samples of her family members have been collected for test.
For contact tracing and active surveillance, the village and nearby villages, comprising 150 households, have been sealed, he added.
This is second COVID-19 case in the district. On April 6, a 32-year-old man, who returned from Dubai, was found to have contracted the infection.
Odisha so far has 54 confirmed cases of novel coronavirus and 41 among them are active cases with one death and 12 recoveries.
