Bhubaneswar/Kendrapara: Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday conducted simultaneously raids on the properties of Kendrapara Reserve Police constable Trilokyanath Jena for allegedly amassing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.
The team, comprising seven officials led by Vigilance DSP Surendra Nath Raiguru, raided three different places.
Jena’s houses at Shrutipur in Madhubana and Miripatna and Barahilo in Kendrapara (in-laws’ house) were raided by the anti-graft officials. Ornaments, passbooks of different banks and documents related to several plots, besides ‘patta’ of his house at Shrutipur, were seized during the raid, said a vigilance official.
The exact amount of disproportionate assets will be known only the raids and assessments of Jena’s property are completed, the official added.
