Bhubaneswar: A day ahead of DG-IG conference in Odisha capital, Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun released a video message on Thursday, issuing a threat to disrupt the event.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Security Advisor Ajit Doval, besides hosts of top security officials, are scheduled to attend the conference at Lok Seva Bhawan here from November 29-December 1.
Pannun who heads the Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) outfit, in a video message, dared Modi, Shah and Doval to visit Ram Mandir in Bhubaneswar to meet devotees and urged his supporters to disguise and take cover in temples-hotels in Bhubaneswar to disrupt the DG-IG conference. “Disrupt and stop the DGP Terror Conference where under the influence of violent Hindutva ideology, they plan and orchestrate killings of pro-Khalistan Sikhs, Kashmiri fighters, Naxals and Maoists,” the Khalistani terrorist said, adding that over 200 security officials of NIA, CRPF, BSF, NSG, IB and CISF, whom he called terrorists, will meet under the chairmanship Shah.
He further said that the three axis of evil Modi-Shah-Doval, the face of Hindu terrorism, are bringing the biggest security threat to the Bhubaneswar, “not the city of temples but city of terror”.
While accusing Shah of orchestrating killing Hardeep Singh Nijjar, he added that the ‘terror city’ Bhubaneswar will be the ground zero on December 1.
Reacting to the development, DGP Y B Khurania said unprecedented security arrangements were already in place to avoid any untoward incident. “We are on high alert and have taken foolproof security measures for the smooth conduct of the three-day national conference,” he told reporters.
Security beefed up
