Bhubaneswar: Around 4,030 students, faculty members and staff of KIIT family donated blood at a mega blood donation camp organised by KIIT Deemed to be University on Wednesday as part of its ongoing silver jubilee celebration.
The camp, brainchild of KIIT and KISS Founder Dr Achyuta Samanta, was organised at KIIT multipurpose indoor stadium.
“I hope this blood donation camp will be of immense success and help people across Odisha,” Dr Samanta said.
Donors started arriving at the stadium from early morning to join the noble cause.
Blood bank teams from SCB Medical College Hospital, MKCG Medical College Hospital, Capital Hospital, Central Red Cross Blood Bank Cuttack as well as teams from district hospitals of Jajpur, Dhenkanal, Kendrapada and Puri collected blood at the camp.
