Bhubaneswar: Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Thursday released National Institutional Rankings Framework (NIRF) India Rankings 2021.
Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) had emerged as the best institute in India, bagging the top rank for the third time in a row, in the overall ranking.
Among the educational institutes in Odisha, Siksha `O` Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, has been ranked 37, followed by Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology (KIIT) at 39, National Institute of Technology (NIT)-Rourkela at 41 and Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar at 58.
These four institutes feature in the top 100 list while Utkal University, Bhubaneswar, is in the rank band of 101-150.

In 2020, NIT-Rourkela was ranked 32 while Siksha `O` Anusandhan was placed 38 in the list of top 100 institutes. Similarly, KIIT and IIT-Bhubaneswar had a ranking of 44 and 56 respectively.

NIRF Rankings considers parameters such as teaching and learning resources, research and professional practice, graduation outcome, outreach and inclusivity and perception.
