Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) on Monday released the schedule for Summative Assessment-II examination of Class IX and X.
The dates for Class X summative II exam are as follows: April 29- Second Language; May 2- Mathematics; May 4- Science; May 5- First Language; May 6- Third Language and May 7- Social Science
Every subject, except vocational trades and Third Language Visual Arts (TLV), will be of 80 marks and the time for these exams will be 2 hours, said BSE Controller of Examinations Nihar Ranjan Mohanty. However, the maths exam will of 2 hours 30 minutes duration.
Of the 80 marks, 50 will be objective and 30 subjective. The Class X students will have to answer multiple choice questions on OMR sheets and question-cum-answer booklets will be provided for subjective questions.
The practical examinations will be conducted in schools under OSEPA supervision, Mohanty added. This exam will be conducted from April 2 to 13. OSEPA will compile send the marks to Board by April 22, the Controller of Examinations, BSE added.
For Class IX, the Summative Assessment-II will begin from April 13 and continue till April 21, he added.
Students will take the test, which will begin at 8 am from April 13, at respective schools with strict adherence to COVID-19 protocols. The duration of the examination for each subject will be 2 hours.
The evaluation will, however, be conducted in other schools from April 18 to 26.
Second Language Paper will be on April 13, Math on April 16, Science on April 18, First Language on April 19, Social Science on April 20 and Third Language on April 21.
