Bhubaneswar: All frontline workers will be vaccinated at their respective workplace, said Director, Health and Family Welfare Bijay Panigrahi here on Wednesday.
The vaccination of frontline workers will begin from February 6, he said.
Till date the database of 1.92 lakh frontline workers has been prepared for registration while that of the remaining workers will be completed by February 7, the H&FW Director added.
Workers of Housing and Urban Development and Revenue and Disaster Management departments will be given the shots in the first phase and the exercise of vaccinating all frontline works will be completed in three weeks, Panigrahi said.
The state has so far achieved 62 per cent success in vaccinating the health workers with 2,08,205 out of about 3.5 lakh health staff immunised till date, said Panigrahi.
The first phase of COVID-19 vaccination which started on January 16 will conclude on February 10 and the second dose of the vaccine will be given to health workers from February 15, he informed the media on the day.
