Alliance Air, Air India’s subsidiary, is all set to launch daily direct flights between Kolkata and Jharsuguda from January 27. A 70-seater ATR 72 600 aircraft will be deployed for the route.
A one way ticket costs Rs 2758. The flight will be operated under the government UDAN scheme.
Jharsuguda, the “Powerhouse of Odisha”, is close to Western Odisha cities such as Rourkela, Sambalpur and Bargarh and serves as the closest airport for these places.
