Koraput: The five-member special team of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) led by DSP Rabi Singh, which has arrived in Korpaut district to probe into the suicide of a minor rape victim, is scheduled to visit the district headquarters hospital (DHH) on Monday.
The team is likely to interrogate the doctors who had treated and examined the victim at the district headquarters hospital (presently renamed as Saheed Laxman Nayak Medical College and Hospital).
“We had gone to Musaguda, the native village of the victim and collected details from the family members about the gang rape and subsequent suicide of the minor girl. We also interacted with the village head and 2-3 witnesses,” Singh said.
The district administration had put up posters in the village asking the people to provide any information relating to the incident to the NHRC team with relevant documents.
From Musaguda, the team later had gone to Sorisapada High School where the victim was studying, and interacted with the teachers. From there, it had gone to Pottangi police station and the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Kunduli. After spending some time at Kunduli, the team had gone to the spot where the victim was allegedly gang raped
