Bhubaneswar: A violent clash broke out between two groups of students at Maharishi College of Natural Law in Bhubaneswar, triggering tension on the campus.
As per preliminary information, two student groups entered into a clash and a laboratory attendant sustained injuries after being attacked while trying to intervene. The injured laboratory attendant was identified as Santosh Swain.
Around four students entered through the main gate and suddenly entered into a clash following a brief altercation. The incident was stated to have taken place over past enmity.
Sources said the laboratory attendant caught hold of one of the students and was trying to take him to the college principal’s office.
However, the student allegedly took out a bottle from his bag and attacked him on the head.
Following the incident, a staff council meeting was held and the college authorities warned that stern action will be taken against the students involved in the incident.
The principal of the college said that the parents of the students are being informed and if needed police will be informed about the incident.
