Keonjhar: Even as mystery continued to surround the death of woman doctor Subhashree Kar in Odisha’s Keonjhar, her colleagues recalled how she had enjoyed every bit of the party she had organised for New Year eve celebration shortly before she died.
According to the employees of the urban PHC in Joda where she worked, Dr Kar herself had made all arrangements for the Zero Night celebration with them.
“She cooked different items on her own. She also joined us in singing and dancing during the celebration till late night and went to sleep in her room at around 1.30 am,” said one of the employees.
Another employee said Dr Kar looked very happy and she enjoyed the party thoroughly. “She enjoyed every moment during the celebration starting from cake cutting to dance and music. We all enjoyed the party and the last night of 2022 thoroughly,” he said, adding that no one knew that Dr Kar will not be there with them in the morning.
Meanwhile, Keonjhar police has formed a special team to trace alleged boyfriend of the deceased lady doctor against whom she had lodged a complaint. As per reports, her alleged boyfriend had resigned from the job on December 20 stating that he was going to Bhubaneswar for marriage.
It may be noted here that Subhashree was found dead barely 10 days after she lodged a complaint with Joda police against Dibyaranjan Majhi, who was a doctor at a medical facility of a private company, for having physical relation with her on the promise of marriage.
In her complaint, Subhashree mentioned that she came in contact with her male colleague, six years ago. He allegedly established physical intimacy with her at her residence last year on the pretext of marrying her, she wrote in the complaint.
