Nuapada: Vigilance officials on Saturday caught Pratima Dash, a senior assistant in the office of the CDM & PHO of Nuapada district, taking a bribe of Rs 10,000.
Earlier, a person had complained to Vigilance that Dash was demanding the bribe to regularise his job.
Acting on the complaint, sleuths from Vigilance’s Koraput Division laid a trap and caught the official red-handed while taking the bribe.
An investigation is underway, Vigilance sources said.
