Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has allotted the land acquired for Posco steel project in Jagatsinghpur district to JSW Steel for its proposed mega steel plant in the state.
Informing this to the media on Thursday in Chennai, Industries Minister Ananta Das said that the JSW Steel had submitted a proposal to the state government in 2016 to set up a greenfield steel plant. Considering the proposal, the state government has allotted about 2900 acres of land to the company.
The state government has asked the JSW steel to deposit the money towards the acquisition of the land at the earliest.
