Cuttack: Let bygones be bygones, playback singer from Odisha Humane Sagar said while announcing that he and his wife Shriya Mishra have been able to resolve the conflict in their marital life after the second round of counselling at the Mahila police station here on Monday.

His mother added that the problem has been sorted out mutually and they have agreed to start life afresh together. “All the misunderstandings between us have been resolved. We will now live together,” added Shriya.

Speaking to the media, ACP Amitabh Mohapatra said, “The couple will hold discussions for the next 15-20 days. Shriya will take a decision and as per the consent of her guardians, she will return to her in-laws’ place in the next few days.”

The couple has also assured that they would not make any statement against each other. “Shriya’s parents and Humane’s mother will fix a date for her return to their house after a discussion,” he added.

Both Humane and Shriya had earlier told the media that they would want to resolve the conflict amicably and get back together. Shriya had also said that an apology could fix the problem.

Humane, however, was deeply hurt by the allegations of multiple affairs, dowry torture and religious conversion levelled against him and expressed displeasure over his wife’s press meet.

Shriya, who has left her husband’s house in Cuttack and living at her parental house in Balasore for over five months, lodged a complaint at Mahila police station on January 17 accusing Humane of torturing her physically and mentally and neglecting her for the last few months.

They got married in 2015 and have a daughter.
