Bhubaneswar: Two people including a minor boy were killed due to lightning strike at two separate places in Odisha on Saturday.
With this, the day’s lightning death toll in the state rose to five.
According to sources, one Rajesh Munda, aged about 13 years, was killed after being struck by lightning in Dhoradiamba village under Harichandanpur police limits in Keonjhar today evening.
Similarly, a man belonging to Gobindapur village in Chanbali block of Bhadrak district was killed by lightning strike in the afternoon. He was identified as Peju Barik.
Earlier, in the day three people, including a couple were killed in separate lightning strike incidents at Bhadrak and Mayurbhanj districts.
