Gajapati: Amidst the nationwide lockdown, 10 Odia labourers, who were stranded in Chennai, bought a boat to reach Odisha via sea route.
As per reports, these 10 Odia labourers teamed up with 17 people of Andhra Pradesh and bought a boat worth Rs 1.7 lakh along with fuel.
However, the Andhra Pradesh police, on being intimated about this sea voyage, detained the labourers in Ichhapuram of Srikakulam district and placed them in quarantine.

Despite the nationwide lockdown, poor labourers from Odisha, who are at present stranded in other states due to the crisis, are trying to return to their hometown by any means.
