Bhubaneswar: In a letter to Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, BJP National Vice President and Kendrapada MP Baijayant Panda requested approval for the proposed second line of the Haridaspur-Paradip railway line.
In his letter, Panda claimed that the project—which had been postponed for decades—was eventually approved, started, and finished in 2019 due to his consistent follow-ups with the ministry and ground-level reviews.
The parliamentarian mentioned the second line of the Haridaspur-Paradip railway line’s potential and capacity expansion. The line, which is the first in the coastal district of Kendrapada, has had a major impact on the area, the BJP MP stated.
He went on to say that the second line will significantly increase the possibilities for the development of the region, particularly the planned industrial corridor in this portion of Odisha, in addition to significantly increasing overall capacity.
Since Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd. (RVNL) carried out the first project, it could be wise to enlist their assistance once more for this extension in order to take advantage of their specialized expertise and domain for faster completion, Panda’s letter read
“I’m confident that under your leadership, the Ministry of Railways will give due consideration to issuing approval for this critical project. I look forward to your positive response and assure you of my continued support for the development of this project,” read his letter.
