Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to witness very heavy rainfall for the next three days under the influence of a possible low-pressure area that is likely to form over northwest and adjoining westcentral Bay of Bengal off Odisha-West Bengal coasts, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Sunday.
According to its midday bulletin, orange warning for very heavy rainfall has been issued from 8.30 am of September 19 till 8.30 am of September 20.
Kandhamal, Kalahandi, Ganjam and Puri districts have been sounded with an orange warning on September 19 while the same warning has been issued for Balangir, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Boudh, Sonepur and Nayagarh on September 20, and for Bargarh, Balangir and Nuapada districts on September 21.
