Bhubaneswar: Odisha is likely to experience heavy rainfall for 2 days under the influence of the low-pressure area over Westcentral and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal off north Andhra Pradesh-south Odisha coasts, which has moved westnorthwestwards and become less marked.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued yellow warning of heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorm and lightning at isolated places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar, Angul, Dhenkanal, Deogarh, Sambalpur, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Bargarh, Nuapada, Balangir, Boudh, Sonepur, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur, Puri, Jajpur, Cuttack and Khurda districts on September 25.
Light to moderate rain/thundershower may also occur at most places in North Odisha and at many places in South Odisha.
On September 26, heavy rain may continue at isolated places in Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Sundargarh districts with light to moderate rain/thundershower at many places across the state.
Though there is no weather waring thereafter, Odisha may continue to experience light to moderate rain/thundershower till October 1, the weather agency added.
