Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government effected a major reshuffle in the IPS cadre and assigned new job profiles to several senior police officers on Tuesday.
This is being linked to the Election Commission of India recent directive asking the state governments to transfer senior bureaucrats and police officers, who have spent three years or more in the present posting. On Saturday, the government had transferred and changed the portfolio of several IAS and OAS officers.
According to a notification issued by the Home Department, the police officers transferred are :-
