Bhadrak: The COVID-19 tally in Bhadrak district surged to 805 on Thursday with an overnight addition of 66 cases.
The district administration informed that 45 of the new patients are local contact cases and 21 are in quarantine centres.
Among the local contact cases, one belongs to Athagarh in Cuttack and one is undergoing treatment at AIIMS, Bhubaneswar.

Due to the surge in local contact cases in Bhadrak, the district administration had earlier extended the lockdown and weekend shutdown till midnight of August 31.
With two deaths and 611 recoveries, Bhadrak district has 192 active cases at present.
