Man Beats Sibling To Death With Crowbar In Odisha’s Sundargarh

Sundargarh: A man allegedly beat his younger brother to death with a crowbar in an inebriated state at Balangbira under Birmaharapur police limits of Odisha’s Sundargarh district on Tuesday night.

The deceased was identified as Budharam Majhi (30). Police have detained accused Shibaji Majhi (40) and sent the body for postmortem.

According to police, Budharam came home with a bottle of wine on Tuesday night. The siblings entered into an altercation over some issue after drinking liquor. In a fit of rage, Shibaji attacked his brother with a crowbar, leaving him dead on the spot.

On being informed, Biramitrapur IIC Manoj Manjari Nayak along with other police officials rushed to the spot and seized the body. Later, police detained Shibaji near Barabas Goudatoli slum. The accused is being interrogated and investigation is underway.
