Bhadrak: A man died allegedly after consuming spurious liquor at Chardia village under Bangshada police limits in Bhadrak on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as Maheswar Majhi (36).
According to sources, Maheswar returned home on Wednesday night after consuming country-made liquor at an illegal brewery. He went to sleep in an inebriated condition.
His family members found him dead on Thursday morning.
Demanding compensation for his family members, area people blocked the Chardia-Chandbali road.
On being informed, police reached the spot and brought the situation under control. The body has been sent for postmortem.
